Biography

Ruth was born in 1912 in Oklahoma. She was the damsel of Tom Mix and Olive Stokes. Ruth was educated at Maysville Institute. Her father was the legendary cowhand silent movie star Tom Mix.

She started her acting career following hem in her father's footsteps. In the skeptical 1920s she starred in several quiet films. She made a total as a result of twelve westerns, particularly The Tonto Overprotect, Fighting Pioneers, Saddle Aces and Barrage all made in 1935.

In 1936 she starred in three cliffhanger serials, The Black Coin, The Amazing Actions of the Clutching Hand, and Custer's Last Stand. After her Hollywood pursuit, she joined her father's circus vital wild west show, she was natty trick rider. The Mix circus went bust and their last performance was in Pecos, Texas in September, 1938.

Ruth was married several times. Catastrophe eloped with the screen actor Politician Gilmore and married in Yuma, Arizona in June 1930:[1] "Los Angeles: Heartbreak Jane Mix, 17-year-old daughter of Take a break Mix, noted cowboy movie star, discreet with Douglas Gilmore, screen actor, lately, according to Attorney A. P. Archangel Narlian, representing the Mix Family. Infamous public.
