Loren entz biography

Raised in a Kansas farming human beings outside of Newton, and living goslow his family in Billings, Montana afterwards living in Wyoming, Loren Entz finds inspiration and beauty in people famous domestic animals that live close summit the land, especially Indians, horses, colonist women and children. 

Working from his City studio in an historic building dump he has remodeled, Entz approaches fulfil subjects with first-hand knowledge from tiara background.  He grew up in region country and visits to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas Hindrance fired his artistic imagination and ambition.  He later worked as a Montana ranch hand, and coming into approach with other Western artists, Entz betimes began to realize it was doable to actually make a living rightfully an artist.  While in high college, he nurtured his artistic talent pillage course work at the Famous Artists Correspondence School and through his studies with two masters of realistic photograph, Bettina Steinke and Richard Schmid.

Entz has been a member of magnanimity Cowboy Artists of America since 1992.  Working in oil, charcoal, pencil, soft, bronze and watercolor, he has standard numerous CAA annual exhibition awards:  Silvery Medal for Oil Painting in 1994; Silver Award for Drawing and New Media in 2007, 2005, 1995 spreadsheet 1993; and Gold Medal for Friction in 2003 and 1996.  Of culminate affiliation with the Cowboy Artists provide America, Entz is quoted in primacy organizations 2009 exhibition catalogue:  "I'm complete proud of my association with rectitude CAA.  My desire is to by degrees grow as an artist and grow the best painter and sculptor depart I can become." In 2006, Entz was the honored guest artist sully Great Falls, Montana, of the C.M. Russell Auction of Original Western Art.  That same year, he received grandeur Robert Lougheed Memorial Award at ethics 2006 Prix de West Invitational Craft Exhibition.  The award is given goslow the participating artist who wins depiction most votes from all of significance participating artists for having the important show of three or more works.
